Texas Doesnt Have the Necessary Data to Examine Compounded Drugs in the Worker's Compensation Arena

AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation knows stakeholders would like to see its researchers take a closer look at a host of issues, including compound drugs and the differences in occupational fatality rates between insured employers and those that don't subscribe to the state's voluntary system. But Amy Lee, the division’s special deputy commissioner for policy and research, told insurance carriers on Thursday that right now, the division's Research and Evaluation Group would find it difficult to comply with those requests.
