During her testimony today before the hearings before the Energy and Commerce Committee of the United States House of Representatives the Honorable Margaret A. Hamburg, M.D., who is Commissioner of the FDA, announced a joint meeting on December 17, 2012, between the FDA and state representatives. She stressed that the FDA would be partnering with the states under the FDA's proposed plan to prevent future outbreaks such as those in the NECC case.
