Michigan: Westland pharmacist loses license, faces deportation

The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs has summarily suspended the pharmacist license of Narendra Cheraku of Westland after his convictions in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan.
On Dec. 10, 2013, Cheraku was convicted of one felony count of health care fraud and one felony count of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. Cheraku was sentenced to probation for six months or until deportation, and ordered to pay an assessment and restitution totaling $9,645
