A drug dealer can name his own price. His product is most often literally worth more than its weight in gold. It is the age-old economic principle of supply and demand. His customers, desperate for a prescription drug for which they can obtain no prescription, will pay any price to fill their needs so great is their dependence on their drug of choice. Deals are made in secret with no regard for the legality, or illegality, of the exchange. Dealer and customer both live in fear of being found out and take great steps to hide their identities and their activities. Now let’s change “drug dealer” to “lethal injection drug supplier” and “customer” to “the state who needs drugs for a lethal injection”. -
