Third Question of the Day December 31, 2013 Why do more state boards of pharmacy not enforce their rules and regulations against non-resident pharmacies?

The Boards of Pharmacy NEVER GET THE COMPLAINT TO TAKE ACTION. Yes, there are some complaints filed, but they are often "whitewashed" by the employees of the state department of health who are supposed to investigate and prosecute these violations. Instead of processing complaints, these employees prefer to close them as "unfounded" or "not legally sufficient", so they do not have to spend the time to process the complaints. An article that describes how the Florida Department of Health Bureau of Enforcement was gutted was written by Tim Elfrink of the Miami New Times and can be found here:

"The department's enforcement bureau is systemically flawed and has been castrated under Gov. Rick Scott."
