American Society of Medication Safety Officers President, Christian Hartman, recently had the opportunity to meet with Massachusetts Senator Richard T. Moore to discuss the meningitis outbreak and the New England Compounding Center. Senator Moore is the Chairman of the Joint Committee on Health Care Finance and Vice Chairman on the Senate Committee on Steering and Policy. During the coffee meeting the two talked at length about USP 797 standards, regulatory oversight of compounding practices, and meningitis.
