Third Question of the Day March 20, 2015 Should more states (see legislation below) require the pharmacist to do the actual compounding for traditional compounding pharmacies? isn't this in light the argument that historically pharmacist have compounded medications (rather than pharmacy techs)?

No. Requiring the pharmacist to perform the hands-on compounding of individual prescriptions is absurd! Pharmacists oversee the process. The technical aspects of weighing, mixing, packaging and labeling are appropriately performed by properly trained and supervised technicians.
