Recommendations made by the Panel towards the P&T Committee, included:
- Would be beneficial to take a more in depth look into compounded medications, and how the civilian health care system is handling compounds
- Search for evidence that there are adverse effects occurring from compounded medications
- Look at how costs are calculated at individual pharmacies
- Lack of implementation information and notification to beneficiaries needs to be addressed
- Observation by Panel Chairman: The PA suggestion by the Committee seemed to be a hammer trying to fix the problem, rather than addressing the real problem
