FDA Raids Weatherford Compounding WEATHERFORD, TX—MAY 8, 2014—

According to an article published today on the Weatherford Democrat website, federal authorities executed a search warrant on Tuesday at Weatherford Compounding Pharmacy, though not many details were available, including what prompted the search. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement reportedly raided the pharmacy, located in the 2000 block of Fort Worth Highway. The business advertises itself as a leading compounding pharmacy, making medications for reproductive, race and performance horse needs. Business owner Joe Landers referred the Weatherford Democrat to business attorney Chuck Aris for comment. “It was an FDA inspection," Aris said. They took some stuff. We don’t know what they are targeting so it’s hard to guess, but a Canadian supplier that he used. There were no charges, no arrests, no citations and no violations by the pharmacy and they are still operating.” Aris denied any wrongdoing on the part of the pharmacy, which was open for business Wednesday. The Texas State Board of Pharmacy reported they were not involved in the search Tuesday, and records show the pharmacy’s license remains active. - See more at: http://www.stallionesearch.com/default.asp?section=6&story=14697#sthash.ILoYaVAy.dpuf
