Distribution of Non-patient specific Compounded products into Colorado
The Board reviewed an Agenda Memorandum from Inspector Susan Martin regarding a recent inspection to CSU-Vet Hospital Pharmacy (PDO 44-15) in which she allegedly found non-patient specific compounded products distributed into Colorado by US Compounding, Inc., OSP 5611. After careful consideration of the available information, the Board voted unanimously to refer the matter to Executive Session for legal advice.
After Executive Session, the Board voted unanimously to issue a Cease and Desist Order against US Compounding, Inc. for an alleged unlawful distribution of a prescription drug into Colorado without the required registration, and to initiate a separate case against US Compounding, Inc. pursuant to Board Policy 30-5 and to refer it for discipline. The Board also voted unanimously to initiate a separate case against CSU-Vet Hospital Pharmacy.
