November 18, 2013 Sterility Issue Prompts Recall by Nature's Pharmacy and Compounding Center

Nature's Pharmacy and Compounding Center is voluntarily recalling all lots of sterile compounded injectables or eye drop products that are not expired.
This recall resulted after an inspection conducted by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy, and is related to concerns about quality control procedures that present a potential risk to sterility assurance observed during a recent FDA inspection. If the sterility of a product is compromised, patients are at risk for very serious infections.
Products were distributed to offices and pharmacies from January 1, 2013 to present in North Carolina.
Nature's Pharmacy is notifying its customers by fax, phone or email to return products to the pharmacy. Patients who have received any product by Nature's Pharmacy and have concerns are recommended to contact their healthcare provider.
