When this law passes, I am gong to attempt to get the Florida Board of Medicine (through the rule-making process) to REQUIRE Florida-licensed medical doctors to procure all "office-use compounded drugs" to only come from FDA-registered outsourcing facilities. Question of the Day October 11, 2013 If all state medical, dental, and veterinary boards pass laws requiring these professionals to procure all "office-use compounded drugs" to only come from FDA-registered outsourcing facilities. and assuming the FDA does a great job of regulating outsourcing facilities won't this have the effect of making the federal legislation mandatory rather than voluntary and won't it help increase patient safety (This assumes veterinary is ultimately covered by the federal legislation)
