Animal Feed Industry Seeks Longer Timelines In Proposed FDA Rule

Soon after FDA on Friday (Oct. 25) unveiled a proposed rule laying out hazard analysis and preventive controls for animal feed, the last of five foundational rules required by the new food law, the animal feed lobby urged the agency to stretch out the rule's implementation timelines, saying current Good Manufacturing Practices and preventive control requirements are new for many in the industry.
