Massachusetts pharmacists who specially mix injectable and other sterile medications will be required to take continuing education classes, and their pharmacies will have to provide patients with a staffed hotline number to report problems, under proposed legislation to be unveiled Tuesday that is aimed at preventing a repeat of the deadly fungal meningitis outbreak blamed on a Framingham speciality pharmacy.
