California Senate Committee on Appropriations to Meet July 1, 2013 Regarding A.B. 1045 Compounding Legislation on Recalls
CALIFORNIA
The Senate Committee on Appropriations will meet 7/1/2013 to discuss A.B. 1045, which requires a pharmacy that issues a recall notice for a sterile compounded drug dispensed or intended for use in California to contact the recipient pharmacy, prescriber or patient and the California State Board of Pharmacy within 12 hours of the recall notice if use of or exposure to the recalled drug may cause serious adverse health consequences or death.
