Third Question of the Day August 6, 2014 Should PBMs and insurance companies report compounding pharmacies who have turned it claims for the identical compounded medications prepared for multiple people? If so, how many prescriptions does it take before it is clear it is not patient-specific and is instead a mass produced compounded preparation? Do insurance companies and PBMs have a legal obligation to report this to the FDA/OIG/DOJ or state boards of pharmacy especially if they suspect health care fraud
