A group of radiation oncology providers based in Pensacola, have agreed to pay $3.5 million to settle allegations of false claims brought under the qui tam, or whistleblower, provisions of the False Claims Act according to a DoJ press release. Richard , a former employee of Gulf Regional Radiation Oncology Centers, Inc. (GRROC), filed the suit in 2012, naming GRROC, Gulf Region Radiation Oncology MSO LLC, Sacred Heart Health System, Inc., Medical Center Clinic P.A., Radiation Oncology Center LLC (ECROC), Dr. Gerald Lowrey and Dr. Rod Krentel as defendants.
