Sixth Question of the Day July 11, 2014 Before you agree to use a compounded pain medications you may want to ask the pharmacist and doctor a few questions. How long do I have to avoid any contact with any other person or animal once I apply the compounded pain cream so as not to transfer the compound to that person. If a compounded pain medication can be toxic to and fill a baby, I would asssume the same possiblity exist with an animal. How many people have applied that compounded pain cream to their legs only to have their cat or dog jump up in their lap and possibly become sick for no apparent or none reason and no one making the connection between the two? Likewise with those hormonal creams rubbed on a wrist what happens when the mother then holds the baby or pets an animal? Any studies on that?
