Update on House Energy and Commerce Hearing July 16, 2013 FDA Proposes Risk Based Concept

Janet Woodcock, M.D., Director of Center for Drug Evaluation and Research of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advocates a risk-based approach as to what should be under their jurisdiction with the FDA being responsible for the highest risk.  She indicated it would not be feasible for the FDA to be responsible for all compounding.
