Shipping Drugs To Ga. Just Got More Complicated


Law360, New York (July 03, 2013, 1:13 PM ET) -- Until recently, Georgia, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania were the only states that do not regulate nonresident pharmacies. This means pharmacies could ship drugs to patients in Georgia, Massachusetts or Pennsylvania without holding a nonresident pharmacy license issued by those states. But as of July 1, 2013, Georgia is longer a part of that list. The Georgia Board of Pharmacy now regulates nonresident pharmacies, and those that ship drugs to Georgia better get a license ASAP.
