December 15, 2015 FDA Warning Wire: Compounders, Supplements, Dirty Cheese The U.S. Food and Drug Administration sent letters this week to supplement companies that touted the medicinal properties of their products without the agency's approval, and to an artisanal cheese company whose practices the agency claimed expose its cheese to "filth." The agency also continued to spotlight practices in compounding pharmacies that it says jeopardize the sterility of their products, this week targeting compounders in Arizona and New Jersey.
