Apprehensions have been mounting over the EU Directive on Falsified Medicines, which goes into effect today, but India's exporters are sitting pretty. The EU is worried that new regulations will result in a shortage of APIs, and it is working on contingency plans to meet that possible shortage, Pharmabiz.com reports. But according to the news source, Indian exports to Europe are unlikely to be affected, as 160 of the country's manufacturing facilities were certified with standards equivalent to the EU's by the Drug Controller General of India in advance of the deadline. Story
