ACA IACP ACVP Educational Conference Heading to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., February 5-8, 2014!
Third Annual Conference Bringing Together Three Leading Pharmacy Organizations
(Fort Lauderdale, FL) - The American College of Apothecaries (ACA), the International Academy of
Compounding Pharmacists (IACP) and the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists (ACVP) are
joining forces again to bring together their combined membership at an Educational Conference,
February 5-8, 2014 at the ocean front property, the Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in Fort
Lauderdale, Fla.
The Educational Conference is an accredited continuing education conference (14.0 contact hours /1.4
CEUs) held annually by these three leading pharmacy organizations – allowing attendees to network
with three times as many key decision makers at one meeting. The ACA, IACP, and ACVP Educational
Conference provides top-level independent and compounding pharmacists from across the country the
opportunity to learn in-depth accredited content on pharmacy practice and management, compounding
specialty issues, and clinical and regulatory topics critical for growing their practice.
Attendees are the leaders in the pharmacy profession and the decision makers in the pharmacy. In 2013,
the Educational Conference had more than 260 total attendees including more than 145 pharmacists
and technicians. ACA, IACP, and ACVP anticipate hosting more than 300 attendees in 2014.

and financially, rather than just survive ...... then this is the place you'll want to be!” says,  Edward J.
Hesterlee, PharmD, ACA and ACVP Executive Vice President. “Join a group of highly successful
practitioners who are willing to share ideas and success stories that have helped them to become
leaders in their communities and the profession!”
“The ACA, IACP, and ACVP Educational Conference is the trifecta event of the year, bringing together
three leading pharmacy associations which are similar-minded, yet very diverse in their membership,
goals and objectives,” says, Wade Siefert, RPh, IACP President. “In the time since we began hosting this
conference, it has become the annual go-to event for pharmacists, technicians and marketing staff
because they know they will learn information they can actually use in their day-to-day pharmacy
practices.”
“Pharmacy students also should attend the ACA, IACP, and ACVP Educational Conference because they
will be exposed to the future of pharmacy,” says Andres Ruiz, PharmD, MSc, Stonegate Pharmacy LP
and IACP Foundation Board Member. “Students will have the opportunity to network with leaders in
independent pharmacy, and potential employers as well as learn more about compounding and issues
facing compounding/the pharmacy profession. To summarize, come network, learn, and have fun!”
