Curious if readers are aware of other doctor's offices offering the same service. From a consumer standpoint, it was very convenient. I am assuming most if not all statutes do not deal with who can own a pharmacy (just as they don't deal with who can own a clinic or doctor's office)--they just regulate the pharmacist and the dispensing, compounding etc. of medication. This also explains why venture capitalized and investors can own pharmacies.

Third Question of the Day October 11, 2013 At my doctor's appointment this morning I was intrigued to learn that it had added its own pharmacy not adjacent or next door to the office but right in the doctor's office--in other words I walked out of the exam room right over to counter for prescriptions? Is this novel or a new trend?
