West Virginia could soon join about two-dozen states that have set limits on opioidprescriptions for acute pain, such as caused by a tooth extraction or ankle sprain. On Thursday, the House of Delegates voted 97-1 to approve legislation (Senate Bill 273) that aims to curb the number of painkillers that doctors can prescribe.
