U.S. Pharmacies: 10 percent of civil settlements and judgments Pharmacies were the second most common provider type for civil settlements and judgments. In FY 2014, cases involving pharmacies represented 10 percent of all MFCU cases that resulted in civil settlements and judgments, an increase from the FY 2013 figure of 6 percent. For example, the New York MFCU settled with a New York-based pharmacy regarding allegations that the pharmacy made false statements to the State Medicaid program to expedite authorization for some drugs and that it submitted other false claims to the program. The pharmsource acy agreed to return $846,224 to the New York Medicaid program.
