A Canton pharmacist already sentenced to one year in prison for conspiring to commit health care fraud and distribute controlled substances has had his license to practice suspended by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, or LARA.
Anish Bansilal Bhavsar was among 26 health-care professionals charged in a fraud ring amid accusations they distributed $57 million in painkillers and other drugs and fraudulently billed Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance carriers. more
