Question of the Day December 7, 2014 What should be the magic number of states that compounding pharmacy has to be licensed in before they are considered to move beyond traditional compounding and into the realm of illegal manufacturing (if not registered as an outsourcing facility). Over 5? Definitely 20 or more? Are can a compounding pharmacy be licensed in all states but somehow still be considered a traditional compounder? Is that possible? If so, what factors determine this important jurisdictional/interstate commerce issue?
