Lakewood Compounding pharmacist Vladimir Kleyman (Prescriptions R US) admits he paid thousands in doctor kickbacks to use Compounded Pain Creams October 14, 2014

A Lakewood pharmacist admitted Tuesday to bribing physicians to prescribe pain cream and defrauding health-care benefit programs out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Vladimir Kleyman, 43, the president and pharmacist-in-charge of the compounding pharmacy Prescriptions R US, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to pay kickbacks and to commit health-care fraud .
The single count carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The U.S. Attorney’s Office plans to seek forfeiture of any proceeds.
Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 20, 2015. Kleyman was originally charged in January.
Kleyman gave an unnamed person tens of thousands of dollars in cash and checks to use as bribes for physicians referring prescriptions for a compounded pain cream to Prescriptions R US, authorities said.
