More Reports of "bad" compounded medication given to horse; pharmacy said have to talk to vet--Will anyone report this to vet or pharmacy board or the FDA?

Vet sold me "bad" medicine

I paid $140 for a bottle of prednisolone for my mare with heaves. It was from a compounding pharmacy.

I have not seen any improvement while on this medication, I called him back and told him this on Wednesday. He told me to schedule a endoscopy next week for around $350...

The vet warned me to shake it before use, which I did every day twice a day. I should have at least 20 mL left in the bottle. The bottom of the bottle is like glue. I sat the bottle upside down today for an hour trying to get anything more out of it. It is literally glued to the bottom.

The medication has separated. Probably was separated the entire time, but it comes in an orange bottle so it was hard to see inside!

I have a feeling it was left in his work truck in the 100 degree Florida heat.

I'm not sure how to approach him about this, and obviously I'm unhappy, as my mare should be better by now!

I made a call to a vet I have never used before and she was nice enough to spend 20 minutes on the phone with me discussing treatment options
