PCCA Members: Express Scripts, Inc. (ESI) has announced that they will stop coverage of 1,000 products (APIs and non-APIs) used in compounding. We believe that this may affect hundreds of thousands of patients across the country and targets employers for which ESI is the primary pharmacy benefits manager or PBM. Employers will automatically be opted into the program.

Compounding pharmacies (and their sales reps) killed the golden goose by exploiting the system for financial gain. Now, everyone else has to live with it.
