The International Society of Pharmaceutical Compounding (ISPhC) was officially constituted on 13th november 2004, in Ciudad Real (Spain), during the IX annual meeting of the Spanish Association of Pharmaceutical Compounding (AEFF) and 1st International Congress on Pharmaceutical Compounding.
The objective of ISPhC is to promote pharmaceutical compounding internationally. One of the specific objectives is to organize a bi-annual international meeting, to serve as a global forum for pharmaceutical compounders from all over the world.
Finally, the main target is to constitute the ISPhC into a powerful tool for the promotion and advancement of the science, technology and use of compounded medications. Pharmacists from very different countries share common challenges, dreams and opportunities. Therefore, there was a need of an international professional and scientific organization to serve as a global forum for all of them.
