Challenge: If you take compounded medications and have them billed to your insurance, look at your explanation of benefits and see how much the compounded medication was billed to the insurance company.

Are you certain of the cost that’s being billed to your insurance RS for your compounded medication? Have you seen an explanation of benefits for your prescriptions? I saw my mother in law’s and she halted use immediately. $9,000+ Of course, there are both sides to the story and the compound pharmacies are cleverly disguising the move by the PBMs as being predatory. What “big pharma” medication goes up 1000% in a year? It’s an unethical exploitation of a poorly regulated sector in healthcare.
