Edmond pharmacist's license suspended

EDMOND - An Edmond pharmacist has had her license suspended for filling prescriptions for patients who had not seen a doctor.

The Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy suspended Sherry's Drug owner Sherry Ross until Dec. 15.

She didn't not immediately return a phone call for comment.

Ross is also being fined $5,500 and will be on probation from Dec. 15 through Aug. 10 2013.

Pharmacy board compliance officer Gary LaRue says patients who were unhappy with their doctor went to Ross who provided them with hormone replacementmedication.
