FDA is taking steps to institute a drug supply chain enforcement plan under which the agency would detain drugs it believes are adulterated as well as penalize manufacturers that do not comply with agency inspectors, issuing a proposed rule and draft guidance Friday (July 12) mandated by the FDA Safety and Innovation Act.
