The Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, issued a report this week on the effectiveness of the FDA to monitor drug safety. Their conclusion: “FDA LACKS COMPREHENSIVE DATA TO D ETERMINE WHETHER RISK EVALUATION AND MITIGATION STRATEGIES IMPROVE DRUG SAFETY.”
