Meningitis outbreak: NECC owners collected $16 million

Owners of the drug compounding company blamed for a nationwide meningitis outbreak that has killed 14 Tennesseans collected more than $16 million in salary and stockholder payments in the last year, according to court filings.
The payments to members of the Conigliaro and Cadden families, the owners of the New England Compounding Center, were detailed in filings made late last week in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Massachusetts. The two families are related by marriage.
